10.04.2013 | OsciPrime Talk at the DroidCon Berlin
The OsciPrime Android Oscilloscope has been presented at the DroidCon in Berlin. With a 30 minute presentation, Manuel Di Cerbo and Andreas Rudolf, were able to show the audiance how to get started with their own Open Source hardware project. See the {slides and video} of the presentation and be sure to visit the {hardware} section to find out more about the OsciPrime Oscilloscope.
By giving an interview to the popular website linuxgizmos.com we gave a quick update about the state of the OsciPrime Project. Head over to the website for the {update}.
At the Embedded World 2013 we presented the Android Embedded Class which we are trainers for at Hilf! GmbH. The reception of the live demo has been fantastic and as well the OsciPrime Oscilloscope which was demonstrated has been an eye catch at the conference. See our {training} section for more information about the Embedded Android class and check out the {OsciPrime Oscilloscope} to find out more about the project.
The Android Embedded Class has been held once more in Oberhaching Germany and the participants enjoyed the hands-on training of Andreas Rudolf and Manuel Di Cerbo. By introducing a custom SD-Card Layout for the Android deployment, the courseware has been enhanced significantly for the participants. See our {training} section for more details of our Android Embedded Class.
The fourth day Android Course has been held once more in Germany. This time at the clients location. An entire ten participants have been joining the class which was very focused on practical implementation of Embedded Android applications.
As a startup project a vocabulary trainer optimized for Android Tablets and mobile Phones has been created. Together with an entire PHP/Apache backend it is a complete solution for learning your own vocabulary. Currently we are testing the application with a closed usergroup. However the application as well as the backend is currently publicly available for {testing}.
We are highly focussed on writing the first book about Android and the Arduino Due. By showing examples and giving guidance in developing with the Android USB libraries, the book will be a tutorial of how to get started in Android and Arduino prototyping.
In our latest {blogpost} we explain how to compile Android (4.1.1) and the Kernel for the Pandaboard. It helps us as fundamental starting point into the {Android Embedded class}.
We were able to present the {OsciPrime} Oscilloscope Project at the Embedded Linux Conference Europe in Barcelona. Countless visitors were interessted in our project, since it is from bottom to top Open Source. Especially Features the new software feature "Buffer Preview" has caught the attention of the guests.
In the latest update of the OsciPrime Android Application we introduced a way to preview the data that was sampled in a buffer, with the ablity to "navigate" through the entire data. See the {update details} for more information and check out our application in the {play store} to support the project.
Our first Android Embedded course in Oberhaching has been a success. The 4-day training caught a lot of attention and the feedback was overwhelming. Thanks to this event we are now reassured that the topic of Embedded Android will be present during the next period of time. See our {training} section for more information about the course.
With a talk about our
We were able to present the {OsciPrime} Oscilloscope in front of the audiance at the GTUG DevFest in Zürich.
In this video walkthrough we show how you can operate the OsciPrime oscilloscope hard- and software and what cables and tools you need in addition to the scope.
For a research project at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences to measure chemical particles with a high resolution camera, an Android tablet application was developed. The Android application interfaces with an USB camera. Besides the standard Video4Linux control commands, important vendor-specific commands such as manual focussing have been implemented as well.
In an indepth interview of {thepowerbase.com} we talked about the our Open Source project, the {OsciPrime} Oscilloscope. Both Android Software and the Hardware are available from scratch as source and also described in great detail.
For the first year graduates we held a presentation about the OsciPrime and the influence of the school for the project. In order to show how inspiring Open Source hard- and software can be, we gave a demo of the first produced OsciPrime hardware.
At the {Libre Software Meeting} in Geneva we held a talk about Open Source Hard- and Software and the implications of it. The OsciPrime project fits exactly into this matter and has been in the spotlight at the talk.
